Oh, Sooo Much Stuff, So Little Time...

Well hopefully I don't overwhelm anybody, but here are all the updates on the Davis Clan for the past two weeks that I have not been able to post anything. So here it goes...

This was Josh's Cute date for Morp. The report back was that he had lots of fun, he actually danced and talked to Kaitlin. Not only that, but has since gone out on another date with that group. I was starting to lose hope, but he's slowly coming out of his shy shell. (don't say that too fast). And these were the only pictures I got from the whole thing; go figure.

Dallin's "Sweet" (and I use that term loosely) 16 birthday party was a great success. He had friends over for games and fun. Ping pong, foosball(sp?), Wii, and summo wrestling topped the list, along with enough food to feed 500 people ( you know me OCD). I know it seems like we do nothing but party around here but you have to remember I have three kids with birthdays in February.

Now I know Dallin has just the most adorable face in the world, but I wouldn't confuse him, well, lets say for 'A Girl!!!' I got this in the mail a few days ago from the National American Miss Arizona State Pageant addressed to Dallin Davis. "Such a proud moment" Needles to say we all got a huge kick out of this. What do you think? Should he enter?

Got to Love Spirit week at school. It's 80's day and this was what we came up with. Too cool Ammon and Eric!!!

Notice the pinned pants and Don Johnson jacket. This morning he asked for 80's clothes and a fro. After I explained that the huge wild hair from the 80's was not called fro's, he was alright with the spikey hair look.

Eric was just happy to come along for the ride.

Well, you are now up to date on the happenings of the Davis'. Hope you're still there.

Happy Birthday Dallin

I can't believe how fast time has passed. My kids get older and taller by the minute (In Dallin's case by the second - he is so tall!!!) Dallin turns 16 today, so i thought it would be appropriate to mention 16 great things about Dallin. We are so proud of him, at what a handsome and smart boy he has turned out to be.
1. He's working on his eagle project that he put a lot of thought and effort into. He's gathering all of the lost and found items left at the local schools, cleaning them up and donating them to a local charity.
2. He's a self motivator. Homework, chores, does them on his own. (I only have to yell once or twice with him, all the other boys at least 5 or 6 times) and has taught himself how to play the piano. Good job Dallin!
3. So smart. Nothing but good reports from his teachers.
4. He loves to be the life of the party. Always is in the middle of all social events.
5. Has embraced his Mexican Heritage. (if you don't know the story I'll share it on another occasion)
6. Awsome light bulb changer and getter of all thing up high. He always lends a helping hand.
7. Kind.
8. Honors his priesthood.
9. Obedient (when it really counts)
10. Passionate about what he believes in.
11. Happy and loves to make others happy.
12. Loyal and a good friend to his brothers and sister. (though occational love taps are involved)
13. Has always had a tender heart and stood up for what was right.
14. Funny.
15. Full of energy, oh so full of energy.
16. He's a part of our family and we couldn't be the Davis' without him.

We love you Dallin and hope you have a great Birthday!!!

Decisions, Decisions.

Why is it that what boys think is cute (I mean cool) is not the same thing that girls think is cute. Anyway, this was Josh's final choice for answering the gal that asked him to the dance. Cute, but Udderly like his father. Poor kid has a long road ahead of him.

Late Knock at the Door.

Last night we got a late knock at the door and this was left on our door. Josh was being asked to Morp. Needless to say he had a big grin on his face, followed by a perplexed look on his face as to how he was going to answer back. Dad has a lot of suggestions:

1) Anwser back with vegetables: "Lettuce go to morp together. It would be an eggplant idea. You can't beet it."

This was Josh's reaction. I don't think so.

2) Okay then... how about baking. "Muffin would be better than to go with you to Morp."

I'm ignoring you. I can't hear you.

So I guess what I'm asking is how do you shut your husband up, No I mean any ideas for answering back in a hurry. Morp is this coming Saturday.

Party, party, Fiesta?

Why is it that no matter how much you plan and organize, nothing ever turns out the way you plan it. Spanish Club has been waiting for so long to have their Fiesta and every week there's something that comes up. Well, this Monday was no exception. We had sick kids and had to postpone the fiesta for Wednesday, the first day everyone could come over to party. I forgot one small detail (as people that don't use planners, calendars or pen and paper tend to do) I already had play group and Angela's Birthday Party. So what else is there to do than to do it ALL!!
So here it goes:

Angela has been so excited for her princess party, she could hardly wait

for everyone to get there to start partying. She is so beautiful!!

All the girls looked soooo cute in their princess dresses. Lala was so happy to have all of her friends with her to help her celebrate her 4th birthday.
Thank you everyone for the gifts. Angela loved every single one of them.

The best part of the day! SUGAR!!!! They loved it.

Happy Birthday Lala. We love you.

Well, you would think that this would be enough in one day, but NOOO not for Molly (OCD) We had our Fiesta and the kids were so excited to finally party and break the pinata.

We started with some Mexican Folk dancing. I pulled out some of my dance dresses and the kids had a blast putting them on and dancing their little hearts out. Muy Bien Ninos!!!

Don't they look so cute. They were so happy to dress up.

The moment they all have been waiting for was finally here! To bad not all of them got to hit the pinata. Sorry to say it split in half before everyone got a chance to hit it. They were'nt too disappointed since I didn't forget to put candy in it. That would of been a disaster.

CANDYYYYY!!!!!

We also had "Rosca de Reyes" which is a traditional bread eaten on January 6th when we celebrate Three Kings Day. Inside the bread are little plastic babies representing Jesus. The kids had a blast distroying(not so much eating) it to find who was lucky enough to find the plastic baby. Here are our lucky winners!!!

Today was tons of fun.

Happy it's over!!!

Hinckley Challenge

I have been so proud and grateful for being part of the church in the last few days (all the time, but especially in the last few days). I Loved President Hinckley and will miss him greatly. I know the new presidency will do a wonderful job in leading us. President Monson, President Eyring, and President Utchdorf will do the Lord's work. They are giants among men and will guide us in truth and rightousness.

My family and I will start the Hinckley Challenge today and try to read the Book of Mormon in 97 days. What a great challenge. Hope you can come along for the ride.

Spanish Club

I've been doing Spanish Club with a few of the kids in our ward. We have tons of fun every Monday learning Spanish and about the Mexican culture. Our latest project is a "fiesta" and we have made a pinata to help us celebrate. I know it looks like they already beat the crap out of it, but it was just finished yesterday and they are ready for their fiesta on Monday. Wish us luck!

Sugar n Spice and Everything Nice

Our trip to see the princesses on Ice was a great success. I'm so glad I get to do all the girly things that I haven't been able to do for a long time. Angela is truly a princess. She loves, loves, loves, abuela and her cousins. We had tons of fun dressing up and enjoying a night out with just the girls.

New Blogger, Watch Out!!!

Well here it goes. I have been peer pressured into the blogging world. Krissy I now know what you mean about feeling totally exposed and vulnerable.

I have over the years had this weird recurring dream about going to the bathroom and then all of a sudden being in the middle of a huge crowd or gym or arena and well I guess it has now come true. That fear of being embarrased, here it comes.

I hope that this can be good thing in my life and a way of sharing with my friends and family some of our family moments.
